How can I purchase a game on Nintendo.com?

A Nintendo Account is required to purchase games through the online Game Store. The store catalog only contains games and content for Nintendo Switch™.
To make a purchase, complete the following steps:

  1. If you haven't already done so, visit http://accounts.nintendo.com/ and create or sign in to your Nintendo Account.
  2. Locate the game or content that you’d like to purchase on this site and follow the on-screen steps to make your purchase.
    • You may add multiple games or content to the same shopping cart for convenient checkout. However, some digital contents may have item limit restrictions per cart.
  3. Once your payment has been completed, you’ll receive download code(s) for your purchase via your Nintendo Account email address.

What do I need to download a game?

You'll need a Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Account, Internet connection, and Nintendo eShop access to download the game or content once you've purchased it.
Make sure that your system is connected to the Internet and meets these download requirements. For help downloading a game, click here.
The system must have enough memory space available for the download, and some games require a microSD card (sold separately).

How can I pay for my game?

You can check out using the following payment methods:

  • Argentina: Valid credit/debit cards for Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
  • Colombia: Valid credit cards for Visa, MasterCard, and American Express

What is the order cancellation policy for digital purchases?

How do I redeem a download code?

Download codes are codes for specific digital games or content for Nintendo Switch systems.
You can redeem your code here and send the content directly to your system.

What should I do if the email confirmation doesn’t arrive?

Your download codes will be sent to your Nintendo Account’s email address. To locate your account’s email address, log in to your Nintendo Account by visiting http://accounts.nintendo.com/.
If the email confirmation does not arrive, please try the following:

  • Allow a few hours for the email confirmation to arrive. If the email doesn’t arrive within this timeframe, please check your SPAM folder.
  • If you checked out with more than one item in your cart, you will receive a single email confirmation with download codes for all purchased content. Review the full email text to locate the codes.
  • Add our email address no-reply@accounts.nintendo.com to your safe-sender list.
  • Resend the email confirmation by accessing “My account” and selecting “Send Email” for the completed order.
